- After Mann graduated from the college, he worked as an architect for Gruzen & Partners, Davis Brody Associates, and Robert A. M. Stern in New York City and The Architects’ Collaborative (TAC) European office in Rome.
- Mann’s father was a World War 2 veteran who lost his life during the war as a pilot of the B-17 aircraft.
- From 1973 to 1991, Mann lived in England, where he taught at the UK Astrological Association. In 1991, he shifted to Copenhagen, where he lived till 1999. There he taught at the Unicorn School of Astro-psychology and the Scandinavian Astrologi Skole.
- Mann was a founding partner of Phenomenon Publications in London from 1973 to 1980. He co-wrote, designed and illustrated The Phenomenon Book of Calendars, which was published in the UK and the United States annually for eight years.
