Description
Temperance is the 14th Major Arcana card among all the other 22 Major Arcana cards. On this card, there stands a winged angel which represents both a masculine and feminine figure. She wears a light blue-coloured robe which symbolizes calmness, care, loyalty, wisdom, and heaven. On her robe, there is a triangle which is inscribed inside a square that symbolizes the relationship between the humans and earth. Her right foot is in the water, representing her subconsciousness, and left foot is on the ground, representing her consciousness. All this symbolizes her balance between her conscious and subconscious mind. In her hands, she is tactfully mixing the waters in two cups, representing the balances she maintains in her life. There is greenery all over the place, which represents harmony, growth, freshness, and fertility. In the background, there is a range of mountains which represents the hurdles of life. In between the mountains, the sun is rising in the shape of a golden glowing crown which represents the ultimate goal of life.

General Meaning
This card is all about balance, harmony, and moderation. If you maintain a proper balance in your life, all your goals will be achieved. Whatever the situation comes, always maintain a calmness. The ‘Temperance’ card in the upright position has several meanings depending upon its placement with other cards in your spread. Generally, it denotes balance, harmony, and moderation. ‘Temperance’ in the reversed position signifies that you are going through a disturbing phase of your life where you are involved in unethical habits. You might be getting addicted to alcohol and drug abuse. This card in the reversed position asks you to restore the balance as soon as possible. Moderation is fine, but getting addicted to anything will only going to ruin your life.

Instead of making the assumptions, it is better to focus on the timings of God as everything will happen at the right time.
