Some Lesser Known Facts About Bhoomika Kalam
- Bhoomika Kalam was raised in a family involved in agricultural activities.
- Her interest in astrology arose at an early age when she was a student. She used to meditate for hours, which helped her improve her ability to sense premonitions.
- When she was in the ninth standard, her father passed away. He died while he was working in the office. In an interview, she revealed that she was traumatised because of this and therefore decided not to pursue a career in any government service. Talking about it, she said,
One day, my father left home for duty and never returned. He died of a heart attack while on duty. At that very time, I decided that I would not do a government job. I wanted to become an investigative journalist.”
- Thereafter, she and her family relocated to Indore, where she completed her studies. She also used to work with her mother to help sustain the livelihood of the family.
- In 2001, she began her career as a journalist, working with several well-known newspapers, including Dainik Bhaskar and Rajasthan Patrika. Her work with Rajasthan Patrika gained her a lot of fame, especially since she started reporting on issues faced by the farmers in Madhya Pradesh.
- Between 2002 to 2010, she worked as a journalist with news channels such as APB Hindi, Zee News, and Dainik Bhaskar. She has always had an interest in doing investigative journalism.
- It was during this time that she came into contact with the Artisan Agro-Tech founder, Dev Mukherjee. The duo then started working together to improve the livelihood of the farmers.
- While working as a journalist, she also took up farming and learned how to drive a tractor. She used to grow bamboo and pigeon pea in her farm land. She also signed contracts with many local furniture makers and directly provided them with bamboo wood.
- In June 2012, she founded AstroBhoomi, through which she offers services including astrology, tarot readings, numerology, Vastu advice, and spiritual coaching.
- Bhoomika Kalam later learned tantra, mantra, and yoga from Nath Sampraday Guru Saklanad.
- Bhoomika Kalam has conducted several youth-oriented seminars in different parts of the country.
